Inspiration
Last summer, while visiting Malaga on the Mediterranean coast of Southern Spain, I was delighted by the habit of tourists and locals alike carrying folding fans everywhere they went – they were both beautiful and functional in the oppressive August heat especially since air conditioning is not as popular in Europe as it is in the States. Given that my hometown of Savannah, Georgia is equally as humid and swelteringly hot that time of year, I probably could have chosen a better destination for a summer getaway but it was this trip that was the catalyst for Southern Gothic.

Having grown up in the Deep South, I love the hauntingly ethereal beauty of Live Oak trees draped in Spanish Moss, historic cemeteries lined with brightly colored Azaleas, and stately southern mansions where the halls echo with long-buried secrets from the past.
